I don't agree with David Grossman (Did you expect something different). I really only agree that the army is taught to think the world is dangerous. I don't believe that the media is teaching kids to kill but only to fascinate children with unrealistic violence.
_ I simply agree with you Vincent. Games and television shows are not teaching us to slay, nevertheless I do consider that they are teaching us to like them. Whenever I play shooting games, I wished myself could have the ability to jump into those games and be part of it, but in life I don't think I really want to murder someone. Yes, militaries were taught to show no mercy and to view the world as a risky place. But if they don't teach wicked stuffs, how on earth would their soldiers be able to destroy their nemeses.
ReplyDeleteI kinda agree with you. Because sometimes they dont teach it to make children kill, but sometimes they do. So i am kinda on the different side. but he is kinda wrong on some things. So his warning is a good one.

ReplyDeleteHey Vaice, [it's no a typo, it's how Loc calls you)
ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with you. I think David is right about the fact that soldiers are taught about how dangerous and tough this world is and tobacco companies should be facing criticism. It is just the way he compared them to video games and television that I disagree. Many video games chose war as their theme. That is maybe because young boys are curious about war time and it feels good being a soldier. When I played Call of duty, it was so easy to kill! You just press a button and you ended a life. There is no punishment and you are rewarded. Its kind of creepy but it doesn't make me want to go out and kill someone. So yeh, I agree with your last sentence(which is also your third sentence).
I agree with you Vince. I do not think that media is teaching kids to kill even though they are really addicted to the game.Example: Like if they play Call of Duty series and very addicted to it, i do not think that they could easily find guns and helicopter to kill people.
ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with you Vince. As Antoine said, it is true that you can't find guns and helicopter very easily, but what about other weapons? Knife? Is it easy to find Vince? I think the answer is yes. you can find knife very easily and it is very easy to used knife to kill other people. The only thing that I agree with you is army is taught to think the world is a dangerous place.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Vince. the video game not teach the children to kill. just the children don't understand that is just a video game and it base on the real life or fantasy for entertainment only.
